In her remarks, Perry credited the school community with shaping her growth, stating, “Everett Public Schools has played a key role in me becoming the woman I am today, and that is thanks to each teacher, support staff, administrator, coach, my peers, and all of you.” She added, “I look forward to my future education and career, but will definitely miss my time at Everett High School,” and closed by saying, “Thank you, and I cannot wait to watch the continued growth of EPS and its students.”

There were no votes recorded for Perry during the meeting. After her report, she was recognized and thanked for her service, and she accepted the committee’s appreciation, replying with thanks.

At the April 6, 2026 Everett School Committee meeting, student representative Emma Perry delivered a report on student activities and district events. She opened by saying, “Thank you. Hello, everyone,” and noted that spring sports were “in full swing” that evening. She reported that softball won at Malden High and said boys’ and girls’ tennis, baseball, and volleyball were active.

Perry also highlighted a number of upcoming student events. She told the committee, “Tomorrow at 6, vocal night featuring students from across the district and percussion night is on Thursday.” She added that the third quarter was coming to a close on Friday and wished “a happy assistant principals week to all of our assistant principals across the district.” Her remarks also referenced a visual arts exhibit, a kickball tournament, fundraising activities, and student government-related visits, including a student government day trip to the State House and a Tide Council trip to the State House.

Her report was described during the meeting as a complete list of many events occurring across Everett. In a separate exchange, Perry also praised the culinary students, saying they “don’t only make great food, but they’re so good when they, like, present it to you,” and added that they were “so professional with how they serve it” and that they “give you, like, water the proper way.” The exchange concluded with the observation that they were “professional in every aspect.”

She voted yes on the motion to submit bills and payroll dated 03/31/2026 in the amount of $2,692,327.76, and she voted yes on the motion to pay bills and payroll dated 03/31/2026 in the same amount. Both motions passed.
